Will and Technology

Today I was thinking about how different life will be for William. At seventeen months he already...
1. expects the remote to pause and rewind live television so he can rewatch the cool commercials 2. was confused the first time he saw a telephone with a cord
3. knows how to put the cd's and dvd's in the computer and television
4. comes over to see his picture on the camera as soon as it is taken
5. picks up keys and immediately holds down buttons until he sets off the car alarm
6. and today on a youth trip he listened to an ipod and watched a movie on a psp (play station player)
It is so strange to think that he will never know that these things are relatively new and innovative inventions. He just expects things to be that way.
Now on to a completely different subject...
Today we took our first "out of town" youth trip to Kerrville for a basketball, food, and worship. We had lots of fun. We really, really like the kids and people at our new church home. I had no idea how much we would love Fredericksburg. It is a great town.
Because of all the activity today, William didn't get a nap (gasp). It is now 6:30 and he is asleep. Hopefully he will make it to morning.
