Last Weekend

Over a week ago Chad's sister and her family came for a visit. William loves playing with his buddy Daylan. We went out for dinner at Mamacita's ('Mama - itas' as William says) and then to a park to run off some of their extra energy. The boys were play fishing by the river (where we knew the water was not deep at all) when suddenly we heard William yelling, "Daylan! Daylan!" We all looked up to see Daylan pulling himself out of the river. He was wet head to toe. Needless to say, we headed home for a warm bath.
The next day we tried really hard to catch a picture of all the cousins together on Landry's bed (except she sleeps in a crib, but this bed is in her room).
They were not all that cooperative.
These two are almost exactly a year apart. Actually all the kids are almost a year away from the next in line. William throws off the pattern with his August birthday, but the rest of the birthdays are within a week or two of one another.
As the Fitzgerald's left, my parents and little sister arrived. They spent the night with us and then the next morning we all got ready to go to my cousin's baby shower. Landry chose an especially cute outfit to wear. The baby shower for baby boy Ellis was at the ranch in Lampasas where my father was raised. This is his old house (it has been remodeled a few times since he lived there).
Here I am with my cousins and one of my sisters. The three in the middle are siblings. One redhead, one brunette and one blond. The brunette (Leslie) is pregnant with her second baby.
Second cousins Truman, Cooper, and William enjoyed the battery powered four-wheeler.I dragged everyone out onto the ranch for bluebonnet pictures.
The sun came out right as we started taking pictures and kinda' ruined everything from that point forward. No one would look at the camera. Ba Pa, Nana, and Us.
