9 MONTHS OLD!

Our sweet Landry Beth is 9 months old. The time has FLOWN by. She is already so grown up. When she drops things, she says, "Uh Oh." She says "Bubba" for William and "Ba Ba" for her bottle. It isn't always that clear or straightforward, but she said all of those words very clearly for the right thing all in a row yesterday. "Uh Oh" is her go to all the time word...it helps that she is always dropping something.
She is about 50% breastfed and 50% formula at this point and I would guess that she is down to just nursing at night by the end of this month...she just isn't that fond of nursing unless she is exhausted. She also eats tiny bites of everything we eat and some baby food. She prefers to feed herself and she demands to eat what we are eating. She has had everything that a baby her age shouldn't have had yet including peanut butter, berries, eggs (yolks and whites), grapes, whole crackers and popcorn. The credit for most of these foods goes to big brother who likes to feed her from his plate, but I always give my kids berries early and we peal grapes for her too.
She drinks from sippy cups and has been doing a pretty good job holding on to them on her own. She also likes eating snacks from her snack trap (click here to see) which is not an easy thing for a baby to figure out, but we love it because she can snack in the car or stroller.
When I say that she 'demands' things, I mean it. This is a very strong willed child. She lets you know what she wants.
Landry crawls all over the place. She is very mobile and can make it up and down one or two steps (i.e. our front porch). She also likes to stand, smile proudly, throw her arms in the air and then fall to her hiney. She knows she is cute when she does this. She stands and walks along the couch, chairs, and her toys.
Landry is completely attached to her green blanket. It is key to her falling asleep. She holds it in one hand all night long. If she is tired and in her crib screaming, you can bring the blanket in, lay it next to her and she will collapse on it and fall asleep instantly. Luckily the Easter Bunny (me) tracked down the pink version of this very soft, very special, very discontinued blanket on ebay, so now we have two and can wash one every now and then.
****stats****
At her last doctor's appt. (10 days ago for ANOTHER ear infection) she was 22 pounds and 27 1/2 inches tall.
I'm sure that I will think of some more info for this post...but for now, that is it!
