It is no secret that William really, really wanted a brother. He has come to terms with the fact that we are having a girl, but he keeps asking why God thinks he needs another girl. I keep telling him that God must know what a great protector he will be. He likes for me to him stories about how he will protect his sisters from bullies and boys.
Last Sunday we were in Corpus at my parents church. In the gym during the luncheon there was a group of children playing chase and running back and forth. Landry was just standing in the middle of it all and almost got knocked over. I noticed after that incident that William was standing right next to her and protecting her with his body. He would watch the group over his shoulder and then guard her (like a basketball player) while the children passed by. This is funny because Landry is tough as nails from being tossed around and knocked over a million times by her older brother, but he was not about to let anyone else touch her.
I am positive that God is giving him another sister because he knows what an amazing brother he will be.
