4th of July

You know if you follow this blog, that we ALWAYS celebrate the 4th of July in Abilene at the Hillcrest Neighborhood Parade (Many of Chad's relatives live in that neighborhood). It is a time honored tradition for us as a family and we even considered going last year when I was due to have Landry on the 4th.
This year William was given the prestigious honor of riding atop the Jeep with a water gun. Too bad it wasn't hot enough for people to truly appreciate being sprayed and Will was a little small for the gun, but it was a good idea!
Here is the group that rode in the Jeep.
The parade getting lined up.Karen and I prefer the freedom of riding the scooters.
We celebrated the night after the parade with a huge dinner with friends. The following night (the actual 4th of July) we had fireworks and sparklers. William liked making designs for the camera.
